The DURIAN Comment Review Service
Telltale's DURIAN comment reviewing service organizes comments by similarity, making it easy to quickly identify letter-writing campaigns, modifications to form letters, and unique comments. Registered users can quickly upload a set of comments via the web. The DURIAN software analyzes comments, and organizes them for rapid reviewing via a password-protected web portal. The software supports both single-user mode for small comment sets, and multi-user mode for large comment sets.
DURIAN's integrated full-text search engine enables you to quickly search for comments that discuss specific issues or topics. Like most web search engines, DURIAN's search engine supports simple "free text" queries. For advanced search, it also offers a powerful query language that includes Boolean, proximity, synonym, and field searches.
Telltale Information can export metadata from the DURIAN comment reviewing tool that can be imported back into your organization's internal document management system to support your recordkeeping needs. Metadata is organized as offset ("standoff") labels and annotations for each comment. The metadata indicates whether a comment is a form letter, a modified form letter, or a unique comment; the modified portions of form letters; and header, salutation, signature, and footer portions of the comment.
Typically your public comment data remains active for three months after your review period is complete. Longer-term access is available upon request.
Our eFOIA service helps your organization satisfy its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requirements. The eFOIA service provides versions of the DURIAN comment reviewing service and our full-text search engine that are tailored for your eFOIA requirements, for example, to hide personal information (names, addresses, email addresses). The complete set of comments can also be provided in bulk form (e.g., a zip file), if needed.
Our Judicial Review service helps your organization satisfy its judicial review requirements. The Judicial Review service provides password-protected access to a read-only version of the DURIAN comment reviewing service and the full-text search engine.
